Dont ask to prepare the food well, says Zomato to customers

Food delivery platform Zomato took to social media to make a request to its customers. It revealed that the most common cooking instruction was to prepare the food well and asked people to not write it with the order.

When consumers place an order on the Zomato app, there is an option to add cooking instructions. This is intended to help the restaurant understand the customer's needs like wanting the food to be extra spicy or mentioning any allergies or not liking a certain vegetable.

However, most people use this section to write "bhaiya accha banana" (brother, please cook it well).

Zomato's tweet read: "Guys please stop writing “bhaiya accha banana” as cooking instructions." It also had a face-palm emoji. It already has over three lakh views and six thousand likes.

While many found it to be hilarious, others were outraged. One such user asked the food delivery app to stop taking extra money in the name of delivery and tax charges. Another asked what else the customers should write. "What should then they write? Is it not against freedom of expression? Our fundamental right?"

Many found the humour in writing a basic expected thing in the instruction session. One such user said he can totally imagine his mother doing this if she knew how to order on Zomato. Another said it reminded him of an answer sheet for an engineering exam.
