A recent viral video suggested that a mob attacked the accused police officer, and the Delhi police have revealed that the claim in the video was false, NDTV reported.
An X user's video claimed that the accused police inspector, Manoj Tomar, was attacked in the presence of his fellow officers. The purported video showed a crowd in the Inderlok area, where the accused officer attacked those offering Namaz.
However, Delhi Police confirmed that the officer was not present in the video posted by the X user. Police added that the clashes shown in the video occurred after the accused was removed from the scene.
DCP North Delhi said that the information propagated by the X video was wrong, and the SI was not on the scene. The video was of Friday and not of Saturday when protesters gathered at Inderlok.

The incident, which occurred on Friday morning, quickly went viral on social media, prompting action from authorities.
The 34-second video captures the Sub-Inspector kicking and slapping the men who were praying by the side of a busy road. The footage also shows a head constable shouting at the worshippers, urging them to leave the area.
