New Delhi: In recent times, the parliament has seen numerous opposition party leaders being suspended for their alleged unparliamentary remarks. However, no action has been taken yet against a BJP MP who launched a vehement verbal attack on a Muslim MP from UP, not only labelling him a terrorist but also demanding his expulsion from the House.

In a startling and disgraceful turn of events in the Lok Sabha, BJP Member of Parliament from Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri, unleashed a barrage of unparliamentary language and abusive slurs against BSP MP Danish Ali during a discussion on the Chandrayaan-3 mission.

Bidhuri's tirade began as he remarked that "PM Modi was not trying to steal credit from the scientists," setting the stage for the unprecedented verbal attack.

In a video footage, Bidhuri can be heard using derogatory terms such as "extremist," "pimp," and "terrorist" in reference to Danish Ali.

He brazenly declared, "Ye Mulla aatankwadi hai (This cleric is a terrorist)," and even urged his removal from the chamber, saying, "bahar pheko naa iss mulle ko (throw this cleric outside)."

The use of such offensive language by a sitting MP immediately drew objections from members across party lines. Opposition leaders expressed their outrage, with UBT leader Priyanka Chaturvedi condemning the "filthy language" and calling for action by the Lok Sabha Speaker. TMC's MP Mahua Moitra also joined the chorus of disapproval.

Former Union Health Minister Dr Harshvardhan of the BJP was seen laughing and grinning while Bidhuri made his highly objectionable remarks in the Lok Sabha.

However, in a bid to contain the escalating situation, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh expressed regret for the "objectionable" remarks made by Ramesh Bidhuri.

Congress member K Suresh, who was presiding over the session when the incident unfolded, announced that he had instructed officials to expunge the derogatory remarks from the official records. Rajnath Singh, while expressing regret, added, "I express regret if the opposition is hurt by the remarks made by the member."
