New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha is set to launch the "Saugat-e-Modi" campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at distributing special kits to 32 lakh underprivileged Muslims ahead of Eid. The campaign will commence in Nizamuddin, Delhi, on Tuesday, under the leadership of BJP National President JP Nadda.

As part of this outreach, 32,000 Minority Morcha workers will coordinate with 32,000 mosques across India to ensure that economically disadvantaged Muslim families can celebrate Eid without financial hardship. The initiative is also aligned with other upcoming religious occasions, including Good Friday, Easter, Nauruz, and the Indian New Year, broadening its scope to assist people in need beyond just the Muslim community.

Jamal Siddiqui, National President of the BJP Minority Morcha, emphasized the campaign's focus on welfare and community engagement, highlighting that Eid Milan celebrations will also be organized at the district level to foster greater participation. Meanwhile, National Media Charge Yasir Zilani described the campaign as an effort to promote government welfare schemes within the Muslim community while also strengthening political support for the BJP and its allies.

The initiative will involve collaboration with approximately 3,000 mosques nationwide to reach a significant number of beneficiaries. Each kit distributed under the campaign will include essential food items such as vermicelli, dates, dry fruits, sugar, and clothes. Women will receive fabric for suits, while men will be provided with kurta-pyjamas. The cost of each kit is estimated to be between ₹500 and ₹600.

With this large-scale distribution effort, the BJP aims to extend support to Muslim families during the festive season while reinforcing its engagement with the community at a grassroots level.
