Arvind Kejriwal attacks BJP in Gujarat for being 'arrogant'

Ahmedabad: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said Gujarat's ruling BJP has become arrogant after being in power for 27 years.

Visiting the state to campaigning ahead of the assembly polls in December, Kejriwal said he had met with the victims of spurious liquor incident nevertheless being Delhi CM and accused Gujarat CM of not meeting them, according to India Today.

Arvind Kejriwal was quoted by ANI as saying that there is an alternative now, suggesting a leadership change in the state.

Kejriwal accused the government of intimidating the businessmen of Gujarat not to participate in his rally.

The politics in the country, he said, has deteriorated and the nation has been kept deliberately behind for 70 years.

Requesting BJP not to practice the politics of intimidation, he said the traders in Gujarat are intimidated by GST officials, and added that in his state BJP businessmen were not threaten or being raided.

Despite a liquor is in place in Gujarat, he said, liquor is comfortably available in the state and is delivered at home too.

Kejriwal said Hundreds of students have cleared IIT and NEET exams in Delhi and students speak impeccable English; the Delhi CM afterwards asked in a veiled attack to PM Modi whether he was doing anything wrong by providing free education, saying that there is a lot of buzz about 'free revdi' these days.

Kejriwal earlier held a town-hall meeting with traders and shopkeepers of Gujarat's Jamnagar city to discuss their issues and offered to end atmosphere of fear.
