Sitaare Zameen Par release date: Aamir Khan hints at Christmas release

Aamir Khan has revealed exciting details about his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, the much-anticipated thematic sequel to Taare Zameen Par.
Speaking during the Republic Day celebrations at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, the actor shared insights into the film's storyline, climax, and tentative release date.
During the event, Aamir disclosed that the climax of the movie was filmed in Vadodara, Gujarat. Reflecting on his connection to the state, he recalled memories of accompanying his father during the shooting of his films in the region.
"When I was young, many of my father's films were shot in Gujarat. I must have been around 12 years old at the time. Returning here brought back a flood of memories," he said. Aamir also commented on Vadodara’s transformation, noting the development of luxurious buildings and improved infrastructure.
In an earlier interview at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Aamir explained that Sitaare Zameen Par shares its theme with Taare Zameen Par but features an entirely new story and characters. The film stars Aamir Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh and Darsheel Safary, among others.
Initially scheduled for a December 2024 release, Sitaare Zameen Par is now slated to hit theaters by Christmas 2025. Aamir expressed his enthusiasm for the film, saying, “We are working towards a Christmas release this year. It’s an entertaining film, and I truly enjoy the story. Shooting is already underway.”
