Ponniyin Selvan earns Rs 400 crore at the box office

Chennai: The makers of Mani Ratnam's newly released historical epic Ponniyin Selvan (PS-1) reported on Wednesday that the film has earned Rs 400 crore globally. On September 30, the movie was released, and both reviewers and the general public reacted well. Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Lal, Sarath Kumar, and Ashwin Kakamanu are among the actors who appear in the movie, NIE reported.
Based on Kalki's epic novel of the same name, the historical drama is a two-part movie. Ponniyin Selvan is a duology that will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. It is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
PS-1 has music composed by AR Rahman and the second half is anticipated to be released in 2023. The technical team for the movie also consists of the choreographer Brinda, the editor Sreekar Prasad, the cinematographer Ravi Varman, and the production designer Thota Tharrani.
