Bollywood power couple Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have been in the spotlight since their secret romance turned into a marriage in 2021. Recently, Vicky Kaushal shared insights into the heartwarming bond between Katrina Kaif and his mother, Veena Kaushal.
During an interview with Curly Tales, Vicky discussed how his family dynamics have evolved since his marriage to Katrina.
He revealed that when he talks to his mother on the phone, her first question is always about Katrina: "Jab bhi main phone agar kabhi main kar raha hu mom ko to pehla sawaal mere baare me hota hi nahi hai...It is always ki Katrina kidda hai, thik aa (How's Katrina? Is she okay?)." He also said that in Punjabi families, there's no concept of a daughter-in-law; she is considered a daughter.
Vicky shared that his parents had longed for a daughter since they had two sons, making Katrina's inclusion into the family a special and cherished one.
He also revealed that in moments of disagreement, he takes the first step to apologise to Katrina, stating, "Sometimes I admit when it’s not my mistake also. Drama kisse chahiye yaar, admit karke life simple ho jaati hai (Who wants drama? Owning up makes life simpler)."
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is set to appear in the comedy-drama "The Great Indian Family," directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by YRF, alongside Manushi Chhillar. The film will be released in theatres on September 22. He also has projects like "Dunki," "Sam Bahadur," and "Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam" in the pipeline.
As for Katrina Kaif, she will star alongside Salman Khan in "Tiger 3," scheduled to hit theatres on November 10.
Regarding the possibility of working together in a film, Vicky Kaushal addressed the curiosity of fans and explained that he and Katrina are waiting for the right project where they both feel a strong connection. He said, "We will only work on something that really hits us, and we too are waiting for something like that to come by."
When asked about the type of film they would like to do together, Vicky suggested roles that align with their strengths, where he plays the silent character while Katrina portrays the talkative one, ensuring their performances complement each other.
