Mrs World crown comes back to India after 21 years, Sargam Koushal wins the pageant
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Sargam Koushal has beaten contestants from 63 nations and won the Mrs World crown. The title is coming back to India after 21 years.
The managing organisation of Mrs India shared the news on Instagram and wrote: "The long wait is over, it's after 21 years we have the CROWN back!" Sargam also shared a video of the winning moment and wrote that she is excited. She wrote: "We've got the crown back after 21-22 years. I'm so excited. Love you India, love you world."
Sargam Koushal hails from Jammu and Kashmir. She has worked as a teacher in Visakhapatnam and has a PG degree in English Literature. Her husband works for the Indian Navy.
India has won the Mrs World title only once when Dr Aditi Govitrikar was crowned in 2001. She congratulated Sargam on the win and wrote: "Heartiest congratulations. So happy to have been part of the journey. It was time the crown came back after 21 years." She served as a judge for Mrs India Inc 2022-23.
