The series follows Jin Wang who is struggling at school and home. It shows a child of Chinese immigrants living in a predominantly white suburb. He meets a new foreign exchange student from Taiwan who leads him to the battle between Gods of Chinese mythology.

In the video, the narrator says: "Dark forces will be coming. The gate between earth and heaven is opening." Then Michelle's voice is heard saying, "the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

On Sunday, Michelle Yeoh created history by winning the Oscars for best actress and became the first Asian woman to do so. The Malaysian-born performer is the fifth person of Asian descent to win an Oscar in the acting category but the first to win in a lead acting category. She said: "For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof to dream big and dreams do come true. Ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you’re ever past your prime."

Ke Huy Quan won the Academy Award for best-supporting actor and thanked his mother on the stage. He called the achievement the American dream and said his journey started on a boat before spending a year in a refugee camp. He thanked his mother for the sacrifices. He also said his wife, for the past 20 years, has been telling him, month after month, that one day his time will come.
