Mumbai: Masterchef Australia judge Gary Mehigan was seen politely asking Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi before kissing her on the cheek as a form of greeting. The viral video is being hailed as a noble display of seeking consent.

The encounter took place during a cooking collaboration event in Mumbai related to the promotion of the film Tarla. Huma is portraying the late chef Tarla Dalal in an upcoming film. Gary Mehigan, who is currently in Mumbai for Conosh cooking masterclasses, met with Huma Qureshi during her promotional activities for the film.

Images and videos from their meeting surfaced on social media, including one posted by paparazzo Viral Bhayani on Instagram, showcasing the respectful interaction between the two.

In the video, Mehigan approaches Huma Qureshi and politely asks for consent before planting a kiss on her cheek. He is heard saying, "Are we gonna kiss?" to which Huma replies, "Yeah, of course." Following her affirmative response, Mehigan gently pecks her cheek. The two then engage in a conversation about food before proceeding inside the venue.

Huma was seen in an elegant black off-shoulder jumpsuit adorned with floral embroidery on the neckline and sleeves. She complemented her attire with black boots and left her long, straight hair flowing. On the other hand, chef Gary Mehigan was dressed in a black tee, a checkered shirt, and navy blue pants.

Huma Qureshi has been actively promoting her film Tarla, directed by Piyush Gupta. The movie, supported by Ronnie Screwvala, Nitesh Tiwari, and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, also stars Sharib Hashmi. It is set to premiere on July 7 on Zee5.

Tarla Dalal, a renowned chef and food writer, gained popularity through her cookery TV shows such as 'The Tarla Dalal Show' and 'Cook It Up With Tarla Dalal'. In 2007, she was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India, making her the only Indian from the culinary field to receive the prestigious award.
