Mumbai: Tirthanand Rao, known for his work alongside popular actor Kapil Sharma in the hit comedy show 'Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe,' made a distressing attempt to end his life during a live broadcast on social media.

During the Facebook live video, Rao, visibly distressed, made grave allegations against his live-in partner, accusing her of engaging in blackmail and extortion. The video took an alarming turn when he consumed a liquid from an insect-repellent bottle, leading to concerns for his immediate well-being.

Witnessing the distressing scene, friends of Rao, who had been watching the live video, hurried to his residence and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital for emergency medical attention. Realizing the severity of the situation, his friends promptly informed the police about the incident after discovering him unconscious.

Speaking out about the circumstances that led him to this drastic measure, Rao revealed that he had been involved in a relationship with the woman in question since October. He went on to allege that she had filed a police case against him and was pressuring him into marriage, while also attributing his dire financial and emotional state to her actions. Rao further disclosed that he had accumulated a substantial amount of debt, further exacerbating his distress.

Medical professionals attending Rao at the hospital have reported that his condition has stabilized, and he is currently undergoing treatment. Kapil Sharma, who had worked closely with Tirthanand Rao during their time on 'Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe,' has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident.
