‘Ikade ikade’, paparazzi scream as Backstreet Boys land in Mumbai for concert
text_fieldsMumbai: American boy band Backstreet Boys are back in India after 13 long years for a concert and they had the most desi welcome, thanks to our Mumbai paparazzi.
The members of the popular boy band, who gave hits like 'Show Me The Meaning', 'I Want It That Way', 'Shape of My Heart' landed in Mumbai in the wee hours of Wednesday.
They were greeted by the paparazzi on their arrival, and the Indian paparazzi again came up with 'Ikade Ikade (here here)', 'Mumbai Mein Swagat Hai' much like they did at the opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in the city.
In a video shared by a paparazzo, Backstreet Boys’ members were seen making their way out of the airport when the excited group of cameramen greeted them.
The music artists posed for the cameras and selfies with fans before making their way to the car.
Trying to grab their attention, the paparazzi were heard screaming in Marathi, “Ikade ikade (here, here)." Before they could leave for their hotels, the paparazzi screamed, “Mumbai mein swagat hai."
On Instagram, Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter shared a video of their hotel staff staging a Bollywood-style welcome dance for the group. “What cool surprise arriving at the hotel here in Mumbai India. The hotel staff had a full out Bollywood style dance prepared remixing all our songs. I guess we really do have fans all over the world,” a delighted Carter wrote.
Celebrating thirty years in the music industry, Backstreet Boys are currently touring the world for their 2019 studio album, DNA. They will be performing at Jio World Gardens in Mumbai on May 4 and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on May 5.
