Cannes: Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan's speech at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival is being called powerful and well-spoken. She highlighted Indian culture, cinema, and art.

The young actress is known for her candid statements and ability to articulate in her interviews.

She began by saying that she truly believes that filmmaking, cinema, art, and culture transcends the boundaries of regions, nationalities, and gender.

In the video from Cannes, Sara is heard saying: "It requires passion and creativity, and I'm so honoured to be here representing my country, celebrating this passion with all of you. The energy is invigorating here, it's so lovely to see all these lovely faces. All of us are here because we love what we do."

"I’m so proud to be here celebrating women both in front of and behind the camera. I hope that we continue to do things like this worldwide. I hope that my country does more and more, has a louder and more felt presence globally and internationally. While remembering who we are, where we come from. And I hope that we can tell honest, true, real stories about ourselves and learn more and more," she added.

She concluded the speech with a namaste.

Fans lauded her grace and lack of a fake accent. Some also called her a great representation of the young generation.

She has been making fashion statements in the French Riviera too. Sara was chosen as an honouree at the Red Sea Women in Cinema Gala in association with Vanity Fair where she delivered a graceful speech. She attended the after-party event in a shimmery gown. The bodycon dress was designed by Rachel Gilbert.

She made her debut on the red carpet with a very Indian lehenga designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. For the opening night party, she showed up in a black and gold gown. For the third look, she chose the same designer and wore an elegant silk cream-coloured saree dress with a black and white border.
