Amitabh Bachchan joins Rajinikanth on screen after 32 years in ‘Thalaivar 170
text_fieldsOne of the most anticipated film reunions in India has finally happened! The seasoned actor Amitabh Bachchan is now a part of Rajinikanth's upcoming movie, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170.
After nearly 32 years, they will reunite for the movie. Previous Hindi films starring the pair included Hum, Andhaa Kaanoon, and Geraftaar. Bachchan was initially set to make his Tamil film debut alongside SJ Suryah's Uyarndha Manithan, but the project is currently in limbo, and Thalaivar 170 may mark the veteran actor's first Tamil release, the Hindu reported.
His presence in the movie is the latest in a string of announcements made by Lyca Productions, the movie's production company. The banner also announced the appearance of the actors Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan to the cast of the movie through a series of tweets over the past two days.
Thalaivar 170, directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, would include music by Anirudh. Before departing for Thiruvananthapuram to begin filming, Rajini said earlier today at the Chennai airport that the upcoming movie will be an entertainer with a social message.
