Vinay Dube, the CEO of Akasa Air, recently highlighted the affordability of airfares in India, stating that the country's aviation market presents significant growth opportunities for airlines like Akasa.

He expressed confidence in the future prospects of Akasa Air, aiming for it to become one of the top 30 airlines globally by 2030, with plans for future public listing.

Speaking ahead of Akasa Air's inaugural international flight from Mumbai to Doha on March 28, Dube underscored the airline's commitment to providing quality service without resorting to marketing tactics. He highlighted the immense growth potential of the Indian aviation sector and affirmed that there is room for multiple carriers to thrive, emphasizing the importance of focusing on core principles.

Dube acknowledged the intensity of competition in the aviation industry but emphasized that with a focus on fundamentals, there is ample opportunity for growth. He emphasized that India's aviation market offers significant growth potential for both Akasa Air and other carriers, pointing out the country's rapid expansion in air travel.

Addressing concerns about air ticket prices, Dube remarked on India's remarkably affordable airfares compared to other regions globally. He stressed that Indian airfares remain highly competitive, offering affordability and accessibility to a wide range of travelers.

In response to queries about potential disruptions due to revised flight duty time limitations, Dube assured that Akasa Air is well-prepared, with no shortage of pilots. He emphasized the airline's commitment to reliability and punctuality, aiming to maintain the lowest cancellation rates and become India's most on-time airline.

Regarding bilateral air traffic rights, Dube expressed optimism about international expansion opportunities, particularly in the Middle East and Southeast Asia markets. He highlighted the availability of capacity in various destinations, indicating ample room for growth.

When asked about Akasa Air's brand identity, Dube emphasized the airline's focus on delivering superior customer service and operational excellence. He highlighted various aspects of the airline's service, including punctuality, baggage handling, onboard amenities, and staff training, underscoring Akasa's commitment to providing the best possible experience for passengers.
