Shane Nigam starrer ‘Eeda’ to release on Jan 5

Kozhikode: Upcoming Malayalam movie ‘Eeda’, starring Shane Nigam and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead, is all set to hit theatres on January 5.
Directed by B. Ajithkumar, the movie revolves around the characters of Shane and Nimisha - Anand and Aiswarya, who hail from nearby villages in north Malabar. Anand works for an insurance company in Mysore and Aiswarya is a student there. They meet in their native place by chance and that develops into a passionate affair in Mysore. However, their life suddenly becomes tangled in a series of violent events that involves their families and friends.
According to the director, “the film is inspired by Romeo and Juliet. It will have all the ingredients of a romance drama. The approach is realistic.”
The cast of the film includes Surabhi Lakshmi, Manikandan Achari, and Alencier Lay Lopez.
The film is produced by Sharmila Rajaa for the banner, Delta Studio, in association with Collective Phase One.
