Panaji: The UK's First Lady Akshata Murty, her two daughters, and mother Sudha Murty were spotted holidaying at Benaulim beach in south Goa.

In a video shot by locals, a fisherman is seen interacting with the group. He also uploaded a picture on social media. The fisherman Francis Fernandes said he immediately recognised the UK First Lady when she approached him on Monday to ask about water sports. "She (Akshata) asked me, is water sports safe in Goa? I told her, 'Ma'am, it is 100% safe and I will keep you and your family safe if they wish to enjoy water sports."

"Before they got on our speed boats, I told her that there are many Goans living in the UK and I want her to see that they are safe too. The UK first lady replied "done." I feel every politician in India should learn from them. They are so down to earth,” he added.

UK PM Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murty got married in 2009 and the couple has two daughters - Anoushka and Krishna. Akshata is the daughter of Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and author Sudha Murty.
