United Nations: Martin Griffiths, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator stated, “Hamas is not a terrorist group but a political movement.”
“Hamas is not a terrorist group. For us, of course, as you know, it’s a political movement,” Martin Griffiths was quoted as saying during the interview with Sky News
Israeli politicians have criticised Martin Griffiths over a statement he made in an interview with Sky News, Muslim Mirror reported.
The UN official's answer came in response to a query about Israel's demand on Hamas' absence from any future Palestinian government being realistic.
