NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte voiced strong concerns on Thursday over the deepening relationship between Russia and North Korea, describing it as a serious security threat not only for Europe but also for the United States.

Speaking ahead of a meeting with European leaders in Budapest, Rutte explained that Russia is allegedly providing North Korea with advanced technology in exchange for military support in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

"The cooperation between Russia and North Korea poses risks for both the European region of NATO and the U.S.," Rutte stated, highlighting that these developments could undermine security on a global scale.

Rutte also expressed his intention to meet with Donald Trump to discuss joint strategies to address these mounting challenges. "I look forward to sitting down with Donald Trump to discuss how we can collectively confront these threats," he added.

As North Korea and Russia increase their collaboration, NATO remains vigilant, closely monitoring potential implications for Western security and the stability of global alliances.
