Dead body of Iranian nuclear scientist Muhsin Fakhrizadeh

Days after the assassination of the prominent Iranian nuclear scientist Muhsin Fakhrizadeh, Iran confirms the target behind the terror attack was Tehran project. The murder took place on Friday when vehicles of the scientist and his bodyguards were attacked outside the capital Tehran.

The official news agency quoted Iranian officials as saying that the killing took place using a remote-controlled automatic machine gun while the scientist and his team were passing by with three bulletproof cars.

As the senior scientist of Revolutionary Guard Corps and the head of the nuclear weapons project, Fakhrizadeh was the mastermind of Project AMAD, a secret project to build a nuclear bomb near the city of Absard.

Iran has repeatedly accused Israel of the killing in order to foil AMAD Project. Iran's Defence Minister Amir Hatami confirmed the projects initiated by the Fakhrizadeh will be carried out steadfastly. Four other scientists believed to be involved in Iran's nuclear program were also killed earlier in various attacks.

Israel, meanwhile, has declined to comment on the attack. Another report claims that an Israeli official allegedly said that 'he is grateful to Israel for killing the father of Iran's nuclear program'. Iran has also accused US President Donald Trump behind the ambush.
