New Delhi: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), terrorist group operating along the Afghan–Pakistani border, challenged the top Pakistani army officials to get in the battlefield rather than sending soldiers to get killed, NDTV reported.

A top commander of TTP fearing in the video threatened Pakistan's army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The videos reportedly showed scenes of October 8 ambush in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Kurram.

TTP claimed that 22 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the ambush alongside capturing ammunition and vehicles.

However, Pakistan army acknowledged fewer casualties claiming that 11 soldiers were killed in the attack.

A senior TTP figure, reportedly identified by Pakistani officials to be Commander Kazim, in video clip challenged Asim Munir, ‘Face us if you are a man’, adding ‘Fight us if you have had your mother's milk’.

Pakistani authorities on October 21 announced a reward of 10 crore Pakistani rupees (PKR) for supplying inputs to capture Kazim.

The videos came as Pakistan and the Taliban-led authorities agreed to ceasefire mediated by Qatar and Turkey in mid-October after days of cross-border shelling, and air strikes.

Islamabad reportedly said that the ceasefire, announced publicly in Doha, could hold only if Afghanistan cracks down on armed groups operating from Afghan soil, referring to the TTP.

TTP’s increasing attacks in Pakistan has exposed Pakistan Army’s inability to contain the insurgency.
