Kabul: Media reports have surfaced that an explosion has happened in the Afghanistan capital Kabul on Sunday. Eyewitnesses said that the blast occurred in the money exchange market in the city, IANS reported.

It is confirmed that two money exchangers have lost their lives in the blast, Tolo News reported on Sunday. The agency tweeted that an explosion had happened in Sarai Shahzada in the capital.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that a minimum of 22 cases of violence were recorded against journalists in March, under the Taliban's rule in Afghanistan. One case was about insulting journalists, and the rest were short detentions awarded to them. According to Tolo News, the Afghanistan Federation of Journalists and Media (AFJM) shared information on mistreating journalists in the country on Wednesday.

In a press conference in the capital city, AFJM member Ali Azghar Akbarzada expressed concern over the state of media in Afghanistan. He said that within the said period, eight media organisations stopped operations due to economic issues.
