Every inch of Israel is Palestine, says Pulitzer-winning author Benjamin Moser
text_fieldsLondon: Pulitzer Prize-winning American-Dutch author Benjamin Moser has said that the more he studied Zionism and spent time in the occupied West Bank, the more convinced he became that every inch of Israel is Palestinian land.
In an interview with British broadcaster Times Radio, Moser said his deeper understanding of Zionism had fundamentally changed his perception of Palestine and its history.
"The more I studied Zionism, the more time I spent there, the more convinced I became. Every inch of Israel is Palestine. It has always been Palestine," Moser said.
He explained that his studies of Zionist ideology and visit to the occupied West Bank had completely reshaped his understanding of Palestinian land and its history. He also pointed out that the ethnic cleansing faced by Palestinians during the establishment of Israel was not merely a historical event but an ongoing process.
Moser's remarks come in the context of his book, 'Anti-Zionism: A Jewish History', which examines the history of opposition to Zionism within the Jewish community.
Through the lives of 12 prominent Jewish figures who opposed the Zionist movement, Moser traces the historical shortcomings of Zionism and the displacement suffered by the Palestinian people.
