New York: The US billionaire Elon Musk finds himself in trouble after voters who signed up for his million-dollar voter giveaway accused him of misleading entrants about how winners were picked, The Guardian reported.

A day after Musk survived a legal challenge in Pennsylvania he faces fresh claims in federal courts in Texas and Michigan.

Musk’s super PAC, Save America urged voters to sign their petition to support the Constitution for a chance to win $1 million.

Now a lawsuit filed in federal court in Austin accuses Musk’s political action committee of acting under false pretenses.

Arizona resident Jacqueline McAferty filed a complaint in federal court alleging that Musk and his America Pac organization promoted voters to sign the petition offering that winners will be chosen by chance.

Meanwhile, Musk’s attorneys told a court that winners were not chosen at random but were chosen by spokespeople for the group.

McAferty reportedly said she never would have signed the petition and handed over personal information had she known that winners would not be picked at random.

The proposed class-action complaint filed in Austin alleged that Musk and the PAC ‘defrauded’ voters by seeking political support on platform X and encouraging people to sign a petition for free speech and right to bear arms.

While America PAC was giving away $ 1 million every day leading to Election Day, lawyer representing Musk told a court that winners were not picked at random.
