Donald Trump makes a return to Instagram first time since Capitol Hill attack

New York: Almost three years after he was banned on social media platforms, former US president Donald Trump returned to Instagram on Tuesday, The Guardian reported.

This is the first time Trump appears on social media since the Capitol Hill attack on January 6, 2021.

Trump made the return with gusto posting a picture of himself holding a Liberty Bell in front of the Stars and Stripes, according to the report.

His second post featured another photograph of him in superhero outfit with the American flag for a cape.

‘I hope everyone notices, & I'm sure the Fake News won't, that I'm leaving the price of the Trading Cards the same as last time, even though they are selling for MANY TIMES MORE (It's called the MARKET!), & sold out almost immediately, because I want my fans & supporters to make money, & have fun doing it. I could have raised the price MUCH HIGHER, & I believe it still would have sold well, with a lot more money coming to me, but I didn't choose to do so. I WILL BE GIVEN NO "NICE GUY" CREDIT?’ Trump reportedly wrote.

Meanwhile, Trump made profits to the tune of $4.5 million using the platform to sell what was widely ridiculed the digital trading cards previously launched in December 2022.

It seems Trump is on a roll as he already managed huge fundraising this month despite his arrest on 34 counts of falsifying business records linked to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Despite Meta—the parent company of Instagram, Facebook and Whatsapp—lifted the ban on him in January, Trump returned to social media only the other day.

Meanwhile, the social media company warned the 45th US President of ‘heightened penalties’ in the event of his posting further violating content.

When he was banned on social media platforms, Trump continued to post on his own social media platform Truth Social.
