Canberra: A footage today showed a woman mooching around a stationary flight in Australia’s Canberra airport, delaying all flights by ten minutes.

She had reportedly broken into the tarmac in an attempt to catch the flight as it was about to depart to Adelaide.

She was seen walking around under the nose of the QantasLink flight trying to catch the attention of the pilot, News.com.au reported.

She sneaked past the airport security running towards the flight, shocking people in the airport.

The flight was due to take off when the woman appeared on the tarmac from nowhere, disrupting the process.

Eventually she caught the attention of the pilot who switched off the engine.

The Australian Federal Police arrested the woman at 7.30 pm on Wednesday charging her with several counts.

She is now facing chargers for damaging property, entering a security zone without permission and possessing a small quantity of cannabis.

One eyewitness named Simon Hales called the incident ‘bizarre’ on social media, adding that she had pushed past the security and run up to the plane.

‘A lady who had clearly missed her flight decided she could still catch it. Pushed past the staff at the door and ran down onto the tarmac and ran up to the plane,’ he was quoted as saying.

Simon Hales further said that she was literally standing underneath the flight close to the front wheel, and the pilot switched off the engine after being warned or spotting her.

Another witness Dennis Bilic who filmed the incident said, ‘People were a bit flat-footed, they didn't seem to know what to do’.

The woman’s reckless behaviour caused delaying of flights by 10 minutes before the process returned to normal.
