100th day of war: US, Israel witness anti-Netanyahu protests

Gaza: In Gaza, the war has entered the 100th day on Sunday, but there is no end to violence and bombardment, reports Al Jazeera.
The current war, which has been so far the bloodiest and most destructive between Israel and Palestine, still goes on despite international calls for a ceasefire
On the 100th day occasion, two protests were held in Israel's Tel Aviv. The first one demanded the return of the captives by Hamas. This rally is a 24-hour rally, which started in Tel Aviv at 6:29 AM. The other rally was against the government and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The second rally, in which thousands turned out, blocked one of the main highways for a short time.
The pro-Palestine protesters here demanded the stepping down of Netanyahu as well as his government since they are not happy about how his government is handling the situation in Gaza.
Pro-Palestine protests were held in the United States as well. Protesters gathered in the US capital and demanded the Biden administration to stop supplying arms to Israel. They chanted "free Palestine" and "ceasefire now", Al Jazeera quoted.
One among the speakers at the US capital said that dozens of his family members, including his 83-year-old father, were killed in the Israeli air strikes, and their bodies were yet to be retrieved from the rubble. The speaker, a pharmacist from US's New Jersey, said that President Biden could easily put a stop to the "genocide", with just a phone call to Israel.
The Associated Press has gathered data from sources such as the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli officials, international observers and aid groups on the damage and casualties of the war so far. The data suggests that at least 23,708 civilians were dead in Gaza, while more than 1,300 in Israel and 347 in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli strikes have destroyed or damaged 45 to 56 per cent of buildings in Gaza. Only 15 out of 36 hospitals are functioning currently, and that too partly. More than 69 per cent of school buildings were damaged, with 142 mosques, 3 churches and 121 ambulances damaged. When 5,76,600 civilians were put to severe hunger and starvation, 6,25,000 students got their studies discontinued.
