New Delhi: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Ram temple in the Babri Masjid site, microblogging website Twitter was flooded with the 'BabriZindaHai' hashtag. Tens of thousands of messages were posted with the hashtag.

The posts carried images of Babri Masjid and imagesof the front pages of national dailies released the day after the demolition of the Masjid.

Those who took part in the campaign said that the stance of the opposition parties including Congress, Aam Admi and CPM were an injustice.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted that the land where the foundation stone laid for Ram Temple belonged to Babri Masjid and it will always be a Masjid. The vocal Muslim leader and parliamentarian also became part of the hashtag campaign.

Owaisi, who has been critical of the government's stance on building a Ram temple in Ayodhya, had earlier objected to Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the bhoomi pujan ceremony today saying that his attending the ceremony as prime minister of India, it will send a wrong message to the country.

Many people shared their concern in the lethargy of the judiciary which showed the least insistence on punishing those involved in the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
