Instant messaging app WhatsApp is reportedly working on an option that will let users hide their online status. With the feature update, the users will be able to choose who can see whether they are online or not.

As per the reports from WhatsApp features tracker WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned message service platform will help in selecting contacts from whom users can remain hidden. The settings will be available within Whatsapp Privacy settings. It will soon be available once all the screening procedures of the feature get completed, reported NDTV.

Whatsapp is also working on updating the time limit for every user to delete messages. This update is currently available in the 2.22.15.8 beta for Android available via the Google Play Beta program.

According to this, the time limit for the 'delete for everyone' option will be increased to two days and 12 hours from one hour, eight minutes, and 16 seconds. This update will enable the users to delete wrongly sent messages, WABetaInfo reported.
