With about 33 million installs, Pokemon Unite has become the most downloaded game worldwide for September 2021, followed by Destiny Run with 26.8 million installs. Garena Free Fire, Subway Surfers and PUBG Mobile are also in the top five most installed games for the month.

Pokemon United from the Pokemon company, in collaboration with Tencent, was most installed in the US. The US accounts for 21.8 per cent of its total downloads, followed by Brazil at 12 per cent.

In September 2021, the global mobile games market generated 4.2 billion downloads from App Store and Google Play. This is a 4,3 per cent decline from a year ago.

The leading market for global game downloads is in India. India accumulated 746.7 million installs; this is 17.7 per cent of the downloads worldwide. The US follows at the second position, accounting for 8.3 per cent downloads, followed by Brazil at 8.2 per cent.

Tencent and NetEase, both publishers from China, are behind the most installed three titles Pokemon Unite, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, and Teamfight Tactics. Of the ten most installed apps on App Store, Chinese publishers had a hand in seven, including PUBG Mobile, Project Makeover from Magic Tavern, Call of Duty: Mobile from Activision, in partnership with Tencent's TiMi Studios, and Honor of Kings, also from Tencent.
