New Delhi: After a Brazil court ordered to block certain accounts in the online platform X, the owner of the platform and tech billionaire Elon Musk challenged the order, saying that he would lift all the restrictions even if they had to close their office in the country, reports IANS.

The Brazil court ordered X Corp to block certain popular X accounts in Brazil.

"We do not know the reasons these blocking orders have been issued. We do not know which posts are alleged to violate the law," X wrote in a post.

"We are prohibited from saying which court or judge issued the order or on what grounds. We are prohibited from saying which accounts are impacted," it added.

Elon Musk responded to the restrictions put by the court, saying, "Why are you doing this @alexandre (Alexandre de Moraes, Justice of Brazil's Federal Supreme Court)?

He later wrote in another post, "We are lifting all restrictions. This judge has applied massive fines, threatened to arrest our employees and cut off access to X in Brazil".

"As a result, we will probably lose all revenue in Brazil and have to shut down our office there. But principles matter more than profit," he added.

In another news, X has activated its feature of Community Notes in India since the nation is preparing for the Lok Sabha elections. Community Notes is a fact-checking programme. The platform welcomed new contributors in India for its newly introduced feature.

In yet another update from X, Musk started giving the platform's premium features, such as blue verification checkmarks for free, to some of the popular users of the network, Bloomberg reported. Musk announced last week that people with more than 2,500 verified followers will be given the free features.
