New Delhi: Leading Taiwanese Electronics Company MSI Announces Commencement of Laptop Production in India, Opening First Manufacturing Facility in Chennai.

Aligned with the government’s "Make in India" initiative, MSI will begin producing Indian-made versions of two of its popular models, the ‘MSI Modern 14’ and ‘MSI Thin 15’ laptops, as stated in an official release.

John Hung, NB General Manager at MSI India, emphasized that India has long been a key focus for the company. He explained that the growing demand for high-performance laptops in the country had played a crucial role in MSI’s decision to start local manufacturing.

Hung also highlighted that India’s rapidly expanding tech ecosystem and consumer base present significant growth opportunities for MSI.

He added that starting production of the Modern 14 and Thin 15 models in India would not only increase accessibility to MSI products but also demonstrate the company’s commitment to delivering innovative technology, luxurious design, and exceptional performance tailored to the specific needs of Indian consumers.

India has become one of MSI’s fastest-growing markets, and the company has been actively expanding its presence across the country.

In response to this significant growth, MSI’s decision to initiate local manufacturing underscores its confidence in the country’s manufacturing capabilities and its commitment to India’s thriving tech landscape.

To improve accessibility for tech and gaming enthusiasts, MSI is increasing its retail touchpoints, ensuring its products are more readily available to customers nationwide.

MSI’s global presence spans over 120 countries.

Hung concluded by expressing confidence that this move would mark the beginning of a new era for MSI in India, enhancing operational efficiencies and contributing to India’s journey toward becoming a global leader in technology.
