New York: Linda Yaccarino, who is rumoured to be taking over Twitter as next CEO, finally said she is inspired by Musk’s vision to ‘create bright future’ for the social media platform, according to Reuters.

Musk, who has led the company since buying at $44 billion, finally spilled the beans on Thursday hinting at who will lead Twitter.

Immediately after he barely revealed the name, media reports hinted that Linda Yaccarino could be the next CEO of Twitter.

Subsequently, Musk announced her appointment on Friday, dispelling all misgivings surrounding it.

Yaccarino, who was the advertising chief for Comcast Corp's NBCUniversal, publicly confirmed the news for the first time.

‘I've long been inspired by [Musk's] vision to create a brighter future. I'm excited to help bring this vision to Twitter and transform this business together!’ Yaccarino reportedly tweeted.

Stressing her commitment for Twitter’s future, Yaccarino said user feedback is central to build Twitter 2.0, according to Reuters.

Yaccarino will have to set right the platform struggling to ‘reverse a plunge’ in revenue from advertisement, and other challenges.

Twitter reported a massive decline in revenue from advertisement since Musk has taken over it.

Advertisers, according to Reuters, fled the platform fearing that their products might be placed beside ‘inappropriate content’.

Yaccarino is reportedly tasked to help build up what Musk envisages an ‘everything app’.

The selection of Yaccarino, who is known for her skills in advertising segment, suggests that Musk wants to bring back advertisers.
