Elon Musk has ‘an arsenal of weapons’; fires 50 cal Sniper gun in video

American billionaire Elon musk recently shared a video of himself shooting a gun, a 50 calibre Sniper rifle saying that he has "an arsenal of weapons".

"I have an arsenal of weapons, most of which I bought in California before they changed the law to make it impossible to do so," Musk posted. "I've hip-fired a 50 cal while walking. Might have the video somewhere."

"Hip-firing my Barrett 50 cal," Musk wrote on X when sharing the 26-second video that features slow-motion footage of him shooting the weapon.

The slow-motion footage is followed by a brief segment that appears to play at regular speed as Musk fires off a few more rounds.

The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) shared Musk's post, writing, "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!" along with an American flag emoji.

Musk has indicated that he supports the right to bear arms.

"I strongly believe that the right to bear arms is an important safeguard against potential tyranny of government. Historically, maintaining their power over the people is why those in power did not allow public ownership of guns," Musk noted in an email to CNBC last year.

Musk visited Eagle Pass, Texas on Thursday, drawing attention to America's southern border crisis.

"Why do so many American politicians from both parties care 100 times more about the Ukraine border than the USA border?" Musk has tweeted.

"Illegal immigration needs to stop, but I'm super in favor of greatly expanding and simplifying legal immigration. Anyone who proves themself to be hard-working, talented and honest should be allowed to become an American. Period," he has posted.

The video has garnered around 17 million views and 300k likes.
