SRK shares the first poster of Jawan, Says inevitable issues caused delay
text_fieldsShah Rukh Khan shared the first poster of his new film Jawan and said it is a special project of his production house Red Chillies Entertainment. He added inevitable issues were involved in the delay.
The superstar has stayed away from the theatres for four years and is now back with three films. Earlier this year, he announced Pathaan and Dhunki. On Friday, the teaser of Jawan was launched.
Jawan is directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee. It is his first collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan and many fans are naming Jawan to be SRK's pan-Indian debut. Atlee is known for movies like Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. He was also an assistant director on films like Enthiran and Nanban with S. Shankar.
Shah Rukh Khan shared the poster of Jawan on Instagram and captioned it: "It is a special Red Chillies Entertainment project that has seen its wait because of inevitable issues surrounding us. But a few good men worked hard and made it happen." He thanked co-producer Gaurav Verma and Atlee for making the "dream come to life".
The poster shows a wounded SRK with a good part of his face covered. The vibe and expression on his face indicated a bleak situation. Using the phrase from the teaser, the actor ended the caption by writing "now... Good to go Chief".
Atlee on Friday shared the teaser and said he is feeling emotional, excited, and blessed to have collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan. He added that he grew admiring the Bollywood actor.
Shah Rukh Khan said the credit for creating such a unique film goes to Atlee. He added that it is an action film and working in it has been a "fantastic experience" for him. "The teaser is just the tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what's to come," said the superstar.
Jawan will be released on June 2, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
