Indian rowing team starts strong at Asian Games 2023

Hangzhou: The Indian Rowing team has begun their campaign at the Asian Games 2023 in China with determination and strong performances.

In the Lightweight Men's Double Sculls event, Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh secured the second position with a time of 6:27.45, showcasing their grit and skill. Their compatriots, Satnam Singh and Parminder Singh, also performed well in their Heat, finishing with a time of 6:27.01.

Both pairs have qualified for the Repechage, where they will vie for a spot in Final A. The Chinese team of Zhiyu Liu and Zhang Liang claimed the top position in this event.

The women's Rowing team also had a positive start as Kiran and Anshika Bharti, participating in the Lightweight Women's Double Sculls, secured a spot in their Heat by clocking a time of 7:27.57. They are now set to compete in the Repechage round, aiming to earn a place in the final.

In the Men's Doubles coxless event, India's Babu Lal Yadav and Lekh Ram finished third with a timing of 6:42.59.

The Indian sailing team is gearing up for their participation in 12 out of the 14 sailing events scheduled for the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou.
