Smriti Mandhana rises to fifth in ICC T20I rankings

Indian opener Smriti Mandhana strengthened her position in the top five of the ICC T20I rankings on Tuesday after her remarkable 124 against Hong Kong in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup.
Mandhana’s 64-ball innings helped India secure a 137-run victory and seal a place in the semi-finals. It also saw her become the leading run-scorer in women’s international cricket across all formats, with 10,880 runs, surpassing Mithali Raj’s 10,868.
The century was Mandhana’s 18th in international cricket, taking her to the top of the women’s international centuries list. She is now ranked fifth among T20I batters.
India all-rounder Deepti Sharma also made notable progress in the T20I rankings. Her contributions with bat and ball lifted her two places to sixth among the leading bowlers.
Deepti remains fifth among T20I all-rounders, underlining her importance to India’s campaign in the tournament.
United Arab Emirates captain Esha Oza also moved up the rankings, reaching 39th among T20I batters. She remains just outside the top 20 in the all-rounders’ rankings.
