‘Rs 100 for photos’: Suryavanshi tells little fans; video viral
text_fieldsOffbeat: Rajasthan Royals’ teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has emerged as one of the most talked-about names in IPL 2026, not just for his explosive performances on the field but also for his playful and grounded behaviour off it.
The 15-year-old recently grabbed attention after a video from an airport went viral on social media. In the clip, two young fans approached him for a selfie, and Suryavanshi initially told them in a serious tone that he would charge ₹100 for a photo. The children appeared surprised and were about to leave when the young cricketer broke into laughter, revealing it was a prank. He then warmly interacted with them and clicked selfies, a gesture that quickly won praise online for its simplicity and charm.

The incident has further boosted his popularity, with many fans highlighting his humility and sense of humour at a time when young stars often face scrutiny for their public conduct. The viral video has only added to his growing fan base, especially among younger audiences.
Suryavanshi’s rise, however, has been driven primarily by his performances. One of the youngest players in the league, he recently smashed his second IPL century in a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He scored 103 runs off 37 balls, hitting five fours and 12 sixes, reaching the milestone in just 36 deliveries.
Already recognised for his performances in the Indian Premier League and with India’s Under-19 setup, Suryavanshi is rapidly establishing himself as a future star. His performances for Rajasthan Royals this season have underlined his potential, making him one of the standout young talents to watch.
