Islamabad: A team of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Pakistan’s parallel to India’s Indian Premier League (IPL), Multan Sultans, has extended a helping hand to the Palestinian people in a first. Team owner Ali Khan Tareen has announced that the team will donate Rs 1 lakh for every six the team hits and every wicket it takes of the opponent in the league. Ali Tareen made the announcement through social media.

Pakistan ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan is the captain of Multan Sultans. Multan lost to Karachi Kings by four wickets in the first match of the PSL. The team scored 234 runs for the loss of three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, Karachi Kings reached the target with four balls to spare.

England's James Vince's 101 off 43 balls made Karachi's victory easy. Multan Sultans' skipper Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 105 off 63 balls. The PSL is usually held in February-March. This time, the PSL date was changed due to the Champions Trophy.

Meanwhile, BCCI's (Board of Control of Cricket in India) announcement to plant a tree for every dotball in the Indian Premier League has also attracted a lot of attention.
