On Saturday, India beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets to win the second T20I, 2-0, and take a lead in the series.

As Sri Lanka batted first, Pathum Nissanka (75 off 53) and Dasun Shanaka (47 not out off 19) contributed to scoring 183-5 off 20 overs.

In addition to Nissanka and Shanaka, Danushka Gunathilaka also scored crucial runs (38 off 29) for the visitors ahead of India's Jasprit Bumrah with 1/24.

A solid fifty by Shreyas Iyer (74 not out off 44) and a crucial contribution by Ravindra Jadeja (45 not out off 18) helped India reach the target with seven wickets in hand.

Among Sri Lanka's bowlers, Lahiru Kumara (2/31) stood out.
