The group that brand citizens ‘anti-national’ honoured
text_fieldsNew Delhi: A facebook group “Clean The Nation” that dubs people as ‘anti-national’ and get them ousted from their work, universities or arrested received an award for Social Media journalism from an outfit affiliated to RSS.
At ceremony held in Delhi, the group was felicitated in the presence of RSS joint general secretary Manmohan Vaidya and Union Minister Smriti Irani.
The groups credentials to win the award is not anything glorious but one of witch-hunting of people.
They got an assistant professor at Guwahait college suspended; in another instance four Kashmiri students, all girls, faced the same situation in Rajastan; an engineering student from Kashmir studying at Noida engineering college got suspended.
They had the knack of singling out men and women based on social media comments following Pulwama terror attack.
What follows after zeroing in on people would be getting them ousted from their work, university or arrested.
