As outlined in Section 69, drivers who ignore this rule will face a fine of Dh500 and six traffic points. Authorities emphasized the importance of slowing down in these areas and ensuring that pedestrians can cross safely. The reminder serves as part of a broader campaign aimed at promoting road safety and protecting vulnerable pedestrians, particularly in neighborhoods and areas frequented by children and the elderly.
