Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence has advised parents to install baby gates in their homes to prevent accidents involving young children. In a recent social media post, the authority highlighted the importance of these safety measures to avoid common household mishaps.

A video shared by Civil Defence illustrated various dangers children face while playing at home, such as tripping over steps and falling from the first floor.

Parents are encouraged to install "effective, non-climb" barriers to mitigate these risks.

The video also recommended avoiding placing furniture near balconies to prevent children from climbing and falling. This advice is part of a broader effort to ensure safer living environments for children in the UAE.
