Sharjah Police resolve nearly 400 financial disputes, return Dh20M to owners

Sharjah Police have successfully resolved 385 financial disputes in the first half of 2024, returning over Dh20 million to claimants without the need for court proceedings. This achievement comes as part of the long-running initiative ‘Al Salah Khair’ (Peace is Good), which aims to settle disputes amicably and promote community harmony.

The initiative, which has been operational for 14 years, has proven effective in resolving financial disputes for individuals, businesses, and institutions. According to Col Youssef Obaid bin Harmoul, director of the Department of Comprehensive Police Centres, the program allows residents to avoid the lengthy and costly process of filing cases in court.

Al Salah Khair is part of Sharjah Police’s broader efforts to support the emirate’s vision and strengthen social ties within the community. By facilitating out-of-court settlements, the initiative helps save time and effort while developing peaceful resolutions to financial conflicts.
