Kuwait Airways operated special cargo flights from Kochi and Delhi on March 12, carrying fresh food supplies to Kuwait, in arrangements facilitated by Lulu Group.

An Airbus A330-900 arrived at Cochin International Airport at 8:30 pm on March 11 from Kuwait without passengers or cargo. The aircraft departed the following morning at 10:40 am as flight KU5006 with 32 tonnes of fresh fruits and vegetables bound for Lulu Hypermarkets in Kuwait. The consignment was organised by Fair Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd., a division of Lulu Group, and reached Kuwait International Airport at 1:30 pm local time.

On the same day, a Boeing 777 operated as flight KU5008 departed Delhi at 11 am local time carrying 50 tonnes of fresh meat and related products to Kuwait, also arranged by Lulu.

The group said further cargo operations are being scheduled to transport food supplies from different parts of India and other countries. Last week, special cargo flights were operated from Kochi, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru carrying essential goods to the UAE.
