Abu Dhabi Airports announced a significant network expansion, with IndiGo Airlines launching daily flights to India from Zayed International Airport.
IndiGo has added 21 new weekly flights, increasing its total to 63.
This expansion includes new daily flights to Chandigarh, Kannur and the resumption of daily flights to Lucknow, boosting the airport's destinations to over 120.
Elena Sorlini, CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, stated that the increased capacity and new routes strengthen their position as a regional hub and enhance Abu Dhabi's connectivity to key Indian destinations.
Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, highlighted the strategic expansion's role in solidifying their UAE presence and improving flight options for travellers.
