Commuters in Dubai have the chance to win 1 million Nol+ points as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) prepares to celebrate Public Transport Day on Friday, November 1. This year’s celebration will include a variety of activities aimed at rewarding frequent users of the city's public transport system.

In addition to the Nol+ points, participants in the 'Mysterious Man Challenge' will have an opportunity to win valuable cash prizes over three days. The lucky winner on November 1 will receive Dh10,000 in cash along with a 50-gram gold bar.

Kicking off on Monday, October 28 and running until November 1, the RTA has planned numerous events and initiatives for the occasion. This year's Public Transport Day is themed: "Good for you, Great for Dubai".

The RTA will recognize the most frequent public transport users across six categories, selecting three winners from each category who will be honored with the title of 'Public Transport Champion'. The awards will be distributed as follows: the first-place winner will receive 1 million Nol+ points, the runner-up will get 500,000 Nol+ points, and the third-place finisher will receive 250,000 Nol+ points. The three winners will be celebrated at a special ceremony.

The six categories include:

- Most frequent user from 2009 until November 1, 2024

- Most frequent user from the week of Public Transport Day 2024

- Most frequent RTA employee user

- Most frequent People of Determination user

- Most frequent senior citizen user

- Most frequent student user

A highlight of the event is the 'Mysterious Man Challenge', where participants will search for the 'Mysterious Man' at Metro stations over three days, from Wednesday, October 30 to Friday, November 1. One winner will be announced each day, receiving Dh10,000 cash prize. The final winner on November 1 will also receive the additional 50g gold bar.

“This year's theme of the Public Transport Day aims to encourage residents and visitors to contribute to making Dubai the best city in the world for living by opting for RTA’s public transport services, which include the metro, tram, public buses, marine transport, and other soft mobility options like bicycles, e-scooters, and walking to reach public transport stations and stops across the city", said Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Sector, RTA.

As Public Transport Day approaches, the RTA invites all residents and visitors to participate in the festivities and take advantage of the rewards on offer.
