Dubai schools resumed in-person classes from Monday, May 11, following new directives issued by authorities, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority said.

The Authority said the return to classrooms will take place under set safety measures aimed at maintaining a stable environment for students. It said the wellbeing of students, staff and families remains the main concern across the sector.

KHDA also called on the public to rely on official channels for updates and not to share unverified information.

Examinations will continue on campus as scheduled, in line with approved academic plans. Schools have been instructed to remain ready to shift between in-person and alternative learning models if needed to avoid disruption.

Across the UAE, Sharjah and Ajman also return to classroom teaching Monday, May 11. The Sharjah Private Education Authority and the Ministry of Education said the decision covers all public and private schools and nurseries, including students, teachers and administrative staff.

Authorities in both emirates said schools will continue to apply approved safety and security procedures to support the return, while staying prepared to activate alternative learning arrangements depending on any changes in the situation.
