Traffic has returned to normal on Airport Road following earlier closures, Dubai Police said in a post on X.

In its latest update, Dubai police confirmed that movement had resumed after disruptions affecting vehicles coming from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Al Khawaneej, as well as from the Marrakech Street intersection heading toward Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

Several hours earlier, authorities had announced temporary closures on Airport Road and within the Airport Tunnel, advising motorists to take alternative routes.

In a separate update, Dubai Police said Al Garhoud Bridge in the direction of Casablanca Street had also been temporarily closed and urged drivers to follow traffic instructions.
